ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON is a premium action game made by FromSoftware, marking the return of the franchise since 2013’s Armored Core: Verdict Day. In the sixth installment of the classic mech series, you step into the world of Rubicon 3 as a pilot. Boasting a larger, more complex storyline and even greater vehicle customization options, this game lets you accomplish missions as you see fit.

Like most games from FromSoftware, such as Dark Souls III or Elden Ring, expect ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON to have the same punishing bosses all throughout the game.

Become the new Raven

ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON starts with an augmented human taking on the identity of the deceased mercenary known as Raven. Landing into the planet of Rubicon 3 with a new identity, the new Raven takes on mercenary missions set in the middle of a war. Missions will allow the player to fight with or against Balam Industries and Arquebus Corp, the Rubicon Liberation Front, or the Planetary Closure Administration.

As a mech pilot, outfitting your vehicle with the best parts and weapons affect how the game unfolds. Have bipedal, quadrupeds, or robots with tracts for movement, each offering a unique movement experience. Similarly, multiple weapons can be equipped, ranging from missile launchers to machine guns. The broad selection of equipment grants players strategic and aesthetic freedom as they play.

Like most modern FromSoft titles, steep difficulty is very much given in this game. While mobs and enemies are easy prey for experienced players, the bosses are a lot different. Most of them require precise controls and strategic gameplay in order to overcome. While earlier games punished players for failing, this one has removed the debt system and with it, the credit penalties for failed missions.

A treat for mech and FromSoft fans

The developers behind ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON have earned a reputation for creating particularly challenging games. This difficulty, however, is made worth the effort with the game’s very diverse arsenal and personalization options.
